Effect of Coping Strategy Intervention for Patients Diagnosed with Chronic Prostatitis

Background Chronic prostatitis is a common urological diagnosis in men of all ages in Egypt. causes many significant morbidity, coping strategy play important role to deal the patients diagnosed with chronic and cope their case. Aim: study aims evaluate effect intervention for patients diagnosed Research design: A quasi-experimental design was used in this study. Setting: This conducted at Urology Outpatient Clinic Ain Shams University Hospitals. Sample: purposive sample used select 60 .Tools :the researchers two tools I) An interviewing questioner which consists three parts, socio-demographic data, II)Assess patient's present medical history, III) patients' knowledge regarding prostatitis, II) Brief scale; standardized tool evaluating among chronic prostatitis patients, Results: showed, highly statistically improvement of post coping strategy than pre, (4.166±2.262 57.533 ± 15.053) , (11.633±2.532 and 66.667 6.357)respectively implementation. Conclusion: coping implementation aid disease, also their prostatitis improved, Recommendations: Providing booklet describe natural disease how type disease; design hinting poster about Intervention Urology outpatient clinic; further are needed other setting implement prostatitis.
